Hello Lovers!

Sorry for going MIA for a while, lots and lots have been going on. AND - this blog is moving. Today it finally happened, what I have been working on for a little bit. I am the new fashion blogger for Womens Health Magazine Sweden! Extremely excited to see what I can do with this.... :) The blog will be more theoretical about fashion, however that is what I live for! I hope you follow me there!

MBFW Day 2

Goodmorning,

As the world (ok, the fashion world) is getting ready for Filippa K's AW14 show, I am going to give you some of my favorite looks from yesterday. Ida Sjöstedt is always one of my favorites - she gives "normal people clothes" a couture touch that I adore. Newly discovered Ida Klamborn did an extra ordinary job and House of Dagmar never disappoints. Favorite looks:

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Stockholm

And it's here again - the stressful, hectic, crazy, yet amazing, wonderful and exciting fashion week in Stockholm. The Swedish fashion scene focuses a lot on local designers and the fashion elite run around like maniacs to make it to the many shows at different locations. No time for food or coffee in between, but the champagne is flowing and the excitement in the air cannot be mistaken.

Really interesting from day 1 was the color! Swedish designs are definitely not famous for their use of colors, black, white and basics are what we are used to. However, Stylein, Hernandez Cornet, and Carin Wester all used a lot of color in their shows, and surprisingly enough yellow seemed to be a big trend for AW14. As suspected, bright red was also a popular color choice.

Absolute favorite from day 1 was Hunkydory - can I please have it all??

Bilsportsgalan 2014

I had a really fun gig this past weekend. Together with my best friends I was invited to be a "pillow girl" at the annual Car Racing Gala. Pillow girl means that whenever a winner in a category was called on stage to receive a price, one (or more) of us walked out on stage with the prices in front of 520 people. Two hotel nights at Elite Grand Hotel, lots of good food, a great gala and an even better after party. The best part might have been the hotel breakfast though? Who can resist waffles with fruit and unlimited amounts of whip cream? Not me.

DKNY

Like I told you I spent some time being a design intern for DKNY. For me this was one of my biggest learning experiences I have had. My boss treated me like a normal employee and I got to sit in on fittings, correct tech packs (the huge excel documents with all, and I mean ALL information to factories), draw sketches in illustrator, work with prints, sort fabric and sometimes even take a "real" designer's place when he/she was sick. I loved every second of this internship and HOW proud was I when I saw these ads come out?? Hard to describe, but yes, I can happily say I was a part of this collection.

Also, how hot is Cara Delevingne here?

What I haven't revealed here yet.. Is that I am actually a designer.. Before I left New York to live in Stockholm again I even worked as a designer for New York brand Delfina Balda. I created her Spring/Summer 2014 collection which soon will be sold in stores worldwide. I worked my way to that position through design internships companies such as BCBG and DKNY, and I thought, are you interested in seeing things I have worked on? Are working on? Will be working on? I have a lot of material of which some have been seen and some not. Let's start tomorrow!
